Chuunibyou is a word in Japan that describes some delusions in which people believe that they are blessed with some supernatural powers in them. However, now this term describes the period of transition from a child to an adult.
Chuunibyou also called “Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions” or “Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!” is a light novel series that arose in Japan.
Torako is the writer, and Nozomi Osaka is the illustrator of the novel which was published in 4 volumes.
Tatsuya Ishihara is the director, and Jukki Hanada is the writer of the anime TV series.

Chuunibyou has covered 2 seasons with 13 episodes in season 1 and 12 episodes in season 2 respectively.
Chuunibyou season 1 was telecasted on 4th October 2012 and ended on 12th December 2012. Season 2 was telecasted on 9th January 2014 and came to an end on 27th March 2014.
Despite releasing 3rd season, the developers decided to release a movie related to it giving it a closure look.
The Plot of The Anime Chuunibyou:
A boy named Yuta Togashi suffered from Chunibyo during his junior high school. He separated himself from all the normal classmates and survived alone as he believed that he had some supernatural powers. He called himself the “Dark Flame Master”. After finding that he has an embarrassing past, he decided to start high school from a place where nobody knows him, and it will easier for him to forget all the delusions and start a new life. However, this attempt by him fails, as a delusional girl named Rikka in his class learns about his past and becomes interested in him so that she could know more about him.
As the story progresses, Rikka and Yuta come closer. Yuta accepts her as she is even after finding her delusions embarrassing and irritating. He starts to help Rikka at every point of life like maintaining her club and teaching her various things. In the club, Rikka was not alone, there were current Chunibyo named Sanae Dekomori, former Chunibyo named Shinka Nibutani, and Kumin Tsuyuri who used to sleep constantly.
After some time when Yuta and Rikka go on summer vacations, Yuta learns that two years ago, Rikka’s dad died due to a terminal illness. She was very close to her father and his death lead Rikka to fall into her delusions. To take her out of her delusions, Yuta agrees to help her to find “Ethereal Horizon” which was believed by Rikka that will take her to her father. During the journey, they both fall in love with each other. This is the whole plot of the story.
Now let’s talk about season 2. The story starts with Yuta and Rikka living forcefully under one roof. Their priority at that time was just to keep this as a top-secret that they are living together. As they are living together and spending much more time with each other, Shinka, Sanae, and Kumin keeps an eye on them so that they can learn more about their relationships. Rikka meets Satone afterward, who was a classmate of Yuta during middle school and his old friend also.
She comes to know that he was the one because of which Yuta fall into his delusions. Shinka tries to contact the president of the Student Council but she is unable to do so as Sanae interferes during her work continuously. Rikka finds it difficult to keep her club after attending a meeting. Rikka and Yuta go on a school trip along with their classmates where they feel awkward around each other. On the other hand, Togashi wanted to spend some alone time with Rikka, but Shichimiya interfered consistently in between his plans.
After returning from the school trip, Sanae discovers that she wanted to encounter the real Mori summer after discovering it through a website. Rikka experiences some changes within herself when Kumin invites all of them along with Yuta to the beach house of her aunt to help her. On the other hand, Satone keeps on thinking about Yuta. Yuta was unknown of the feeling that Satone has for him. Stone becomes very sad as she is suffering from heartbreak. Rikka, despite being sick, kept on traveling from one place to another without telling Yuta about the reason. Later Rikka realizes her feelings for Yuta but struggles to tell him.
