Push the avo on toast aside, because Fray Bentos are back with another disgustingly English breakfast pie that the nation is desperate to try.
At £1.50, you can’t even buy an avocado for the price of this whole breakfast pastry. Even better this pie includes all the fry-up ingredients you could ever want.
Although it is most peoples pie of dreams, some Twitter users have become rather disgruntled by the English breakfast pie.
Fray Bentos breakfast pie makes a comeback
The pastry involves Bento’s popular puff pastry guarding some baked beans, a Cumberland sausage, bacon and black pudding.
This seems to be the hangover cure of all time, have it any time of day, little hassle and no washing up, can it get any better? Yes, because the famous Fray Bentos chicken curry pies are also making a comeback.
After being nearly ten years apart from the curry pies, they are now back in stores such as Asda with a brand new recipe, but still the tasty deliciousness from the original dish.
With two new pies back on the shelves, people all across the country are excited to try the tinned pies which were an essential cupboard must-have back in the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
Kirsty Chalmers, of Fray Bentos, has spoken on how legendary the traditional fry-up is, making this pie a winner: “Trendy pastries, cronuts and avocado on sourdough toast have been creeping on to breakfast menus — but for many Brits, the traditional full English reigns supreme.”
The fry-up pie recipe has been hard worked on for over a year and will be first available from Home Bargains, however, you can get your hands on it from other retailers in the coming weeks.
