Washington D.C. – President Trump has stirred a new controversy with his new statement regarding Kenosha shooting. President Trump has defended the Kenosha shooter, charged with killing two protesters who were protesting at Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Trump said the shooter was trying to get away from the protesters if he had to fire to protect himself. If he hadn’t opened the fire, he would’ve been killed by the protesters.
President Trump’s Kenosha visit is scheduled for Tuesday. He will visit the city where protesters have gathered against police brutality. On 23rd August, a 29-year-old man named Jacob Blake was paralyzed from bullets shot by police.
The events at Kenosha protests turned ugly when Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old, opened gunfire on three protesters, resulting in two deaths. Trump defended him, saying, “he was trying to get away from protesters when he fell. They attacked Rittenhouse violently. The protesters would’ve killed him.”
The law authority has charged Kyle Rittenhouse with two counts of first-degree homicide and attempted homicide. Rittenhouse’s lawyer has announced that he will defend himself by arguing it was an act of self-defense against violent protesters who attacked him.
The President has condemned acts of violence erupted across the nation under the garb of protests multiple times. President Trump’s 2020 Elections’s main theme will be maintaining law and order. He has condemned violent acts by his supporters and thrashed “left-wingers” who are stoking riots and anarchy.
Former Vice President Biden tweeted: “Tonight, President Trump declined to rebuke violence. He wouldn’t even repudiate one of his supporters who is charged with murder. He is too weak, too scared of the hatred he has stirred to put an end to it. I urge President Trump to join me in saying that while peaceful protest is an important right — violence is wrong. Period. If he can’t say that, then he is unfit to be President.“
However, Trump has given back a befitting reply to his rival. He has accused Biden of pandering to the left-wing mob of protesters. Trump has said that Americans will see a rise in violence across the nation if they elect Biden as a new president.
