Holistic Review: Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2
Which frequently makes us wonder why we need the more expensive models.
But occasionally, we come across something that makes us realise why they are so pricey.

The German audio company has released a new pair of Momentum True Wireless headphones.
As a follow-up to its well-liked first-generation model.
They are just as fashionable but far more capable, with longer battery life.
And genuine active noise cancellation.
Placing them on par with the Apple AirPods Pro and the Sony WF-1000XM3.
Because of their superior audio quality, an abundance of functions is available via the app.
And an overall air of sophistication, these were our choice for the best true wireless earphones of the year.

Today, though, it is sometimes discounted to Rs 19,990.
So it could be worthwhile to keep an eye on its pricing if you’re considering purchasing one.
It competes with products like the Sony WF-1000XM3 (Rs 19,990; opens in new tab).
AirPods Pro (Rs 24,900; opens in new tab), and Jabra Elite 85t (Rs 18,999; opens in new tab) at that price.

If that price is a bit too much and is now offered at Rs 9,990.

Design: Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2
You’ll instantly note how high-end headphones appear.
With the opulent finish, you’d expect at this pricing, even without the Momentum True Wireless 2.
The new earbuds have a similar appearance to the previous ones:
A spherical body with a shiny metallic touch-sensitive outer shell bearing the Sennheiser logo.
They look incredibly slick and sophisticated.
With gold-plated charging ports and LEDs that show if the buds are paired.
Even the interior of these earbuds is attractive.
Not only that, but the charging case itself has a stylish weave that matches the colour of your earbuds.
A USB Type-C connector for charging and a tiny button to check the battery level are both located on the rear.
A tiny LED that illuminates red, orange, or green serves as the battery status indicator.
connection and battery life
The Sennheiser MTW2 is on par with the greatest earbuds of recent times.
With more than six hours of battery life in the buds and more than two full charges in the case.
To put things in perspective, its predecessor only clocked around four hours on the bud.
And eight more in the case.
Thanks to its compatibility with Bluetooth 5.1, the newest wireless streaming standard.
And Qualcomm’s aptX codec, you can stream Hi-Res Audio via Bluetooth without any problems.
Pairing them with our smartphones was also a breeze.
Sound quality
The Momentum True Wireless 2 have 7mm, dynamic drivers, just like their predecessors.
Which Sennheiser claims will produce “excellent stereo sound, with deep bass, natural mids, and clean, detailed treble.”
When listening to Walk Off The Earth’s Farther We Go.
The earbuds expertly negotiated the medley of elements.
Without obliterating the punch in the drums, cymbals, and various vocal layers.
The buds showed tremendous strength in the lower frequencies.
When I was listening to Voices by Against The Current, which is unusual for wireless buds.
This is not to suggest the midrange and high frequencies.
Were ignored because the track’s rich beat remains prominent the entire time.
The Sony WF-1000XM3 can appear more tightly controlled, but pleasantly.
And the Sennheisers have a far wider soundstage and more distinct details.
Verdict
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 is a superb alternative to the Sony WF-1000XM3.
In terms of sound quality, battery life, and design.
The differences between the two are essentially insignificant and purely subjective.
Since they don’t have any of the ecosystem restrictions of the AirPods Pro.
We believe more people will appreciate the entire experience on them than Sony.
Making them an easier recommendation.
The bigger weight and somewhat higher price are the only things that are against it.
To ensure that your experience is as pleasurable as ours.
See if you can try them on or seek a thorough return policy.
But other than that, these genuine wireless earbuds should be a great investment for anyone.
Wishing to cut the cord because they have enough acoustic strength to satisfy even the most ardent audiophile.
