Right now, Samsung is introducing its new segment of foldable smartphones into the market. It was on August 5th that Samsung confirmed the upcoming foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 2.
At the time of the announcement, the release date or price of the phone wasn’t specified. However, customers can buy it on Samsung’s official UK website for £1,799. You can expect it to be shipped by September 17th.
Although the price can be too high for some, it’s been reduced by £101 if you seek a discount. We assume that Samsung isn’t facing a technical error; we are awaiting their response on the price for the time being.
It’s not yet confirmed what price has been set for US customers. The first phone from this series was priced around $1,980, so there’s a chance that Z Fold 2 will be cheaper. We don’t know which pre-orders are going to be shipped first – UK or US customers.
There were some shortcomings that users faced when they bought the predecessor. We hope Samsung has addressed them this time in the new phone. There is an ultra-thin glass coming with Z Fold 2, which appears better than the plastic surface provided with the previous one.
We are yet to see the complete reveal of the phone by customers and reviewers. You can check out some unboxing and reviews of Z Fold 2 posted on YouTube:
We don’t know exactly what improvements have been made by Samsung, but we expect many. And if you have a budget of almost $2,000, this phone is up for pre-ordering in the US and UK.
