Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno has suggested that Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn could recover from their respective injuries soon, as quoted in Football.London.
Spurs suffered a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League yesterday.
Forward Son missed the London derby due to a calf injury he suffered while on international duty with South Korea.
Netherlands international winger Bergwijn is on the sidelines at the moment with a foot injury.
Spurs head coach Nuno has said that both the players could be back before the club’s next game.
Tottenham will face Rennes in the Europa Conference League this coming Thursday before taking on Chelsea in the London derby next weekend.
Nuno told Football.London: “I don’t know. He doesn’t look well. Stevie, let’s wait and see this week, but hopefully they will improve and be available for the next game, let’s see.”
Encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur fans
If both Son and Bergwijn were going to be on the sidelines for long, then Spurs head coach Nuno would have indicated that.
That the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss is hopeful that the two players could be back before the next game is cause for optimism for the fans.
Spurs’ performance against Palace yesterday was disappointing, and the North London club will be determined to bounce back.
