How did Hawkeye become deaf?
Hawkeyes inability to hear has been an important part of his character throughout the years, as he has lost and gained his hearing multiple times.
Hawkeye became deaf after holding a sonic arrowhead in his mouth to prevent the power of a brainwashing device.
His tactic worked, however, it caused Hawkeye to lose his hearing instead.
In the comics, Hawkeye is seen wearing hearing aids, which S.H.I.E.L.D agent Mockingbird provided to him!
However, his hearing has since been seen to come back, during the awakening of Franklin Richards.
