All for the Max Cape
Maxing out an OSRS account is no easy feat. It may sound simple on paper or easy to say: ‘Max out all 23 skills in Old School Runescape’. Reality proves it’s more difficult than that. Depending on the OSRS skill and what method you use, maxing out a skill takes days up to weeks. Also, take note of the OSRS gold expenses you can rack up-leveling crafting skills. Sometimes even non-crafting skills can use up gold like its water going down the drain.
At any rate, if you’re willing to put in the effort to make a maxed OSRS account, here are some tips to consider.

Leveling Combat Skills in OSRS
Hitpoints naturally gain XP when fighting, so it levels up as you level other Old School Runescape combat skills. Attack levels up when using the ‘Accurate’ combat style. Strength levels up when using the ‘Aggressive’ or ‘Controlled’ styles. Defense levels up passively as you fight, like Hitpoints. Though there are some enemies you can fight that will give a higher amount of XP to Defense.
Magic has many AFK skilling methods that can ease up the tediousness of the grind, but you need to take note of Rune usage. All in all, the Combat skills are quite straightforward to level, as it can be summarized into ‘fight until you reach 99’. To reach level 99 you need a bunch of time grinding. But of course, you need to use the style (Melee, Ranged, Magic) to level it up. You can’t train Magic by using bows, for example.
Since Slayer requires you to fight specific types of enemies, you can level this up along the way. That saves you a bit of time.
Leveling Crafting Skills in OSRS
If you prioritize speed and efficiency, these crafting skills might make you buy OSRS gold. Spending OSRS gold buying the ingredients and raw materials for recipes is the fastest way to level these up. Though you can regain OSRS gold-selling some of them, some crafted items may end up cheaper than their raw materials. This is especially true in Herblore, where ingredients and herbs are more expensive than the potions themselves. That is the secret, the higher-priced training method is, also, the fastest way to level up the crafting skills in Old School Runescape.
For these crafting skills, you basically craft the OSRS item that gives the most XP at your level. At certain milestones, you move on to a higher level recipe and repeat the process until you reach 99.
Of the crafting skills, Cooking gets a special mention. You can actually level up Cooking while training Fishing by Barbarian Fishing. If you choose to process the fish you catch with a knife, you earn some Cooking XP. Leveling Fishing to 99 through this method can generally level Cooking to about 73. From there you can go back to focusing on training Cooking to 99.
Leveling Gathering Skills
These Gathering Skills include Farming, Fishing, Woodcutting, Hunter, and Mining. For these, you go around collecting what the skill wants you. You’ll be going around, planting stuff to harvest later such as growing stuff like plants, fruit trees, vegetables, mushrooms, and herbs (Farming), fishing in various ways, chopping trees -these logs can be used for fire making, and constructions(WoodCutting), trapping animals which allow to catch various kinds of animals (Hunter), or mining ore and gems. There are many guides out there that can tell you the most efficient ways of training these skills.
Leveling Other Skills
Skills like Agility, Thieving, and Prayer have their own methods of training unique to the others. Agility makes players run courses or play minigames to level it up. You need to pickpocket NPCs to level Thieving. Lastly, Prayer levels up through the interaction with bones. You can either bury them or use them on an altar. Praying at the Ectofuntus with bonemeal and buckets of slime or killing reanimated monsters with the Arceuus spellbook will also raise Prayer’s level. Slayer technically falls in this category, but it’s mixed with the Combat skills since you’ll need to fight creatures to slay them.
