Heather Rae Young admits that she’s no longer close friends with her Selling Sunset co-star Christine Quinn and hasn’t been for over a year. As she prepares to walk down the aisle with Tarek El Moussa, it looks like Heather’s got her guestlist all figured out. Now that her friendship dynamic has changed over the course of the show, Heather is opening up about how she and Christine drifted apart. Her comments come ahead of an all-new season that will bring about new revelations.
As a show OG, viewers have seen Heather’s life change drastically from season 1. She started out dating an overseas hockey player by the name of Nick Ebert. With Nick playing in Sweden followed by Slovakia, the distance made their relationship hard to maintain. Heather actually met her current fiancé while she was on the outs with Nick. After two years of dating, Heather and Flip or Flop host Tarek are set to marry in an elaborate ceremony she recently teased on social media. Ahead of Heather changing her last name, she’s also changing up her friends’ circle.
She recently admitted to not being close to one cast member with whom she started out good friends. “Christine and I have not had a close friendship for over a year now,” Heather told Us Weekly. While they’re not close friends anymore, they still keep it cordial whenever they bump into each other. “We congratulate each other for special moments or we’ve sent a few nice texts back and forth,” Heather noted. “I’ve [also] obviously seen her a couple times in the office, here and there. But as far as a friendship, it’s just not there right now.” It’s no secret how Christine’s onscreen behavior has put a wedge between her and the other ladies in the office. It might also be why Christine and Heather are no longer as tight as they once were.
Christine was noticeably absent from Heather’s bridal shower in August. Mary Fitzgerald posted photos from the event and familiar faces in attendance included Chrishell Stause, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, and newcomers Emma Hernan and Tina Louise. While Christine did recently welcome her first child earlier this year, the only other reason she would miss out on a bridal shower is if she wasn’t invited. Heather later admitted that Christine wasn’t invited to the intimate gathering and she only invited her close friends. She also wished Christine well with her new family.
Mary, Chrishell, and Heather have become a lot closer over the last year. They have shared moments with each other on social media despite last year’s pause on production. As the new season premiere approaches, it looks like Christine will be the oddball out. Heather is gearing up to share her journey to married life with a fellow reality star who has his own relationship drama of his own. Selling Sunset fans are anxiously awaiting what’s revealed in the new season.
