Gary Neville has claimed that ‘he’s not seen’ an atmosphere like the one building up to Leeds and Liverpool at Elland Road for ‘many, many years’, as he told Sky Sports News (12/09/21 at 2:50 pm)
The Sky pundit thinks this is the ‘biggest game’ in for Leeds at Elland Road since they returned to the top-flight.
Leeds and Liverpool were involved in some tasty battles last season and have done so in the Premier League before.
And before kick-off, Neville made a claim about the fans and the feeling around the place.
“What I am excited about is that this is the biggest game at Elland Road since they have come back into the Premier League,” said Neville.
“I have not seen this atmosphere at this ground for many, many years. And I am looking forward to it today. Liverpool will bring the best out of these Leeds fans.
“But I do think Liverpool will come out on top.”
