Dr. Fauci has recently made a statement warning everyone across the globe. He has said that “we should not underestimate the pandemic”. He also added that the pandemic is yet to be over.

In an interview with U.S. News, he said that the pandemic will be over but not soon. Dr. Anthony Fauci, Head of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has been leading the White House COVID-19 Task Force.

The virus has already infected almost 5 million people, and over 150000 have succumbed to it. The last six months have been extremely vulnerable for the U.S.

Dr. Fauci: What’s his Opinion on Pandemic Vaccine?

Dr. Fauci was interviewed Brian Kelly of the U.S. News, he spoke about various issues related to the current situation going on in the States.

He has said that the pandemic will end for sure. “Everything will become normal, but not so soon.” He added that the virus spreads from one person to another pretty fast, almost 40-50% patients who have been infected with it have no symptoms of any type.

The lack of symptoms makes it go undetected. However, for the rest of the population it means death.

Dr. Fauci has been working in the virology field for over four decades.  He’s witnessed various outbreaks during his tenure – AIDS,  Ebola, Zika and now COVID-19.

Dr. Fauci has said that we should do all we can to make sure that the educational year of our kids is not wasted. He thinks that the decision of reopening the schools should be taken by authorities, based on the local situation of the pandemic.

The problem with the reopening of the schools is that young kids have higher chances of carrying the virus in their breathing system, as per an NYT report.

Fauci is optimistic about the vaccine trials going on in the country, he says we are most likely to get a vaccine by the end of 2020 or early 2021.
