Baltimore: A Major Gas Explosion Leaves One Dead and Two Injured

Baltimore, Maryland – A major gas explosion has completely destroyed five houses on Monday morning. As per Baltimore Firefighters Union Local 734, several houses have exploded on Reisterstown Road neighborhood of Baltimore.

The sources say one person was pronounced dead by the firefighters and paramedics on the spot, whereas more than five people were trapped under the debris. Two victims of the explosion have been taken to the hospital, their condition is critical. 

Baltimore explosion siteThe witnesses say they saw children screaming after a major gas explosion was heard through the neighborhood and surrounding area. The gas explosion has completely destroyed three houses. One adult woman succumbed to death. Two people were taken to hospital who were residents of Labyrinth and Reisterstown Road. The blast occurred around 10 a.m. 

Soon after the explosion paramedics and firefighters arrived at the scene. They rescued another woman from the debris while many more were believed to be trapped under the rubble.
